I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to blog (or I have been just too tired). Now that I am settled in and have gotten into a routine, you will hear more of me, I promise.<br /><br />After hours of packing and finishing my online class at home and at Southern Adventist University, I arrived here in San Salvador, El Salvador on Tuesday, July 7, at 12:37 Mountain Standard Time. There are fifteen people from SAU in the group, ranging from nursing to education majors. Most of them, I really did not know. We had lots of orientation meetings with the other groups (PUC and CUC are here as well) and with our pastors. Each person is responsible for preaching all 19 sermons over the 2 weeks and 3 weekends we are here.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I never thought I would be here preaching. I like talking but I would much prefer to be back stage then right up front there. Thankfully I have a fellow SAU student who lives here as my interpreter. He is an amazing interpreter and I am so glad that we are friends. It makes me feel so much more comfortable. We are preaching in the largest Seventh-day Adventist Christian church in El Salvador. The up side to this is even if there are 150 people, the church is not full so it doesn't look like there are so many people.<br /><br />We have covered so many topics from the Law of God to the Blood of Jesus. Tonight is about the Sabbath and evolution. There are all types of people at my church: young kids, grandparents, church members, and visitors. They are friendly and seem interested (usually). Last night was hard because my voice was going out so I couldn't talk as fast. Satan has been working hard to disrupt our meetings. He has been working really hard on one girl in our group, Sera. On the first day, her projector sent sparks flying and wouldn't work with her computer!Thankfully, my church wanted to use a larger projector so I didn't need one. She also has been pretty sick. Yesterday her eye was swollen badly. But she has been able to preach every night. AMEN! The rain has also been a problem. Some streets turned into raging rivers, causing a few meetings to be canceled.<br /><br />Please keep us in your prayers.
